Engineers Visit Lamborghini and Ducati!
Can you believe your eyes? Fazakerley High School pupils and staff really do get everywhere! In July Miss Melitsiotis and Mr Bell took a group of Engineers from Years 10 -12 to Italy. The pupils flew to Pisa and then transferred to Florence where they were based for the duration of their stay. Pupils visited and climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa and they explored Florence at great length too. This including a leg-aching climb to the top of the cathedral tower, as well as plenty of ice cream consumption! The main attractions were when the group visited the Lamborghini and Ducati factories close to Bologna. Staff and pupils toured the factories and discovered how various models were manufactured. It truly was a breath taking, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and the group felt truly privileged that they experienced these examples of cutting edge real life engineering.
