Pupils from all houses have spent the past few weeks filling shoeboxes for 'Operation Christmas Child'. They have brought in various items such as toys; pens and pencils; toothbrushes and toothpaste and sports equipment such as tennis balls and skipping ropes which are boxed and wrapped in festive paper. The boxes are then sent to children living in parts of Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Mrs Ormesher's classroom was turned into a Santa's Grotto as the gifts kept coming in. Year 11 pupils sorted and labelled all the boxes.
Thanks to the generosity of our pupils, their parents and staff we were able to contribute an amazing total of 88 shoeboxes and donate £125 towards postage and package charges.
