National Citizens Service

Each year we encourage year 11s to take advantage of the National Citizens Service programme and this year the NCS team from Everton Football Club delivered a fun and informative assembly to get the ball rolling!

NCS is a life-changing programme aimed at teenagers 16+ to discover who they are and what they can do, young people come away with a host of new skills, bags of confidence & a certificate from the Prime Minister!

It’s a great way to boost your UCAS statement or CV, meet incredible people, get your voice heard and have a lot of fun while you’re at it!

There are four phases to the NCS programme:

Adventure

You will spend up to three days and four nights at an outdoor centre, taking part in activities like rock-climbing, canoeing, hiking and archery.

Discovery

In week two, you stay in local accommodation, hanging out with your new friends and hopefully honing your cooking skills!

Social Action

As a group, you will design a social action in the community and spend up to 60 hours putting it into practice.

Celebration

After a big celebration party, you will become part of the NCS family, opening up a world of opportunities, events, rewards and support as you take your first steps on your career ladder.

Application forms are to be returned to the Careers Hub by Friday 7th February – you can make payment later if required however places/dates won’t be secured until payment is received
