The famous artist, Anthony Brown, came into Fazakerley High in January to work with Year 10 art students. Anthony created a series of work to celebrate the 800th Birthday of Liverpool called, "100 Heads, Thinking As One'. He produced one hundred mixed media portraits of ordinary and famous Liverpool people which were exhibited around Liverpool City Centre in cafes and art galleries. He brought many of his paintings and sketchbooks into school and talked about his inspirations and how he developed his ideas.
He also discussed his life growing up in Liverpool, his interests and hobbies. Inspired by this, our students went on to produce their own artwork. Having studied Anthony's John Lennon portrait they developed their own work using collage, chalk and charcoal; Anthony was very impressed with their work.
