Bankview DT Club Success
Since September 2010, Fazakerley High and Bankview High School have been working together. Each week, a number of Bankview pupils come along to use our facilities for their afterschool Design Technology club. With the assistance of their teachers and FHS Duke of Edinburgh students, they have completed a number of projects using our facilities, such as the laser cutter.
All of their hard work has paid off and they have completed lots of projects to take away including very high quality keyrings, pen holders, picture frames and maze games. Bankview teacher, Miss McCaldon, said, "This experience has been fantastic for our pupils as they have been able to use state-of-the -art facilities to aid their DT development.
The club has been a great success and has given our pupils the opportunity work with a range of staff and pupils. We would like to thank the Fazakerley High School staff and the Duke of Edinburgh Year 11 helpers for their commitment over the past weeks that have led to some very positive outcomes for our pupils." The club has been a success all round, with students at both schools keen to take part!
