Partners in Business
Our cohort of Year 12 Career Academies students recently met their Partners in Business. These are their personal mentors that will support and advise them on a one-to-one basis over the next 15 months.
The Partners in Business are adults in the local community who have volunteered their time and have each been allocated a student to mentor. They may help them with work, provide interview tips and assist with CV writing amongst other things.
After a welcome from Miss Melitsiotis and an introduction to the mentoring programme from Ian Nichol (NW Career Academies Co-ordinator) the Partners in Business met their mentees and after some organised ice-breaker activities bonded really well.
The school hopes that the relationships that develop in the future are just as fruitful for the mentors as they will be for the mentees.
If anybody is interested in becoming a Partner in Business in the future, please contact Miss Melitsiotis.
