Gig Review: The Temps
by Mel Finnegan, Year 11 If alternative music's your thing, do not take your eyes off this article! Liverpool's famous music scene just seems to be improving more and more lately. With something available for everyone and fantastic new artists to discover around every corner, you'll never get bored. A good way to discover new music is to go to gigs, such as "The Threshold Festival' held at Liverpool's "Contemporary Urban Centre' just off Sankey Street by the docks.
We did just that! When there, we headed straight to the "Antipop' stage, where a band that our school should be very familiar with, "The Temps', was performing. Past pupils Joseph Wainwright, Luke Ryan, Tom Cook and other member Billy Clarke put on a fantastic show to rival some more well-known bands. "The Temps' genre is mainly punk music and very original. Their success is inevitable, so watch out for them in the near future.
