Year 7 got a taste of what Geography fieldwork has to offer just before half term. They utilised a number of skills they have developed over the course of the year to produce some high quality work.
The task set was to investigate which site across the school would be best for Mr Beaton to build a wind turbine and solar panels if he wanted to make the school more economically viable. The pupils investigated this by recording a number of factors including temperature, wind speed, wind direction and cloud cover.
The results of their investigation were then used to justify which site was most ideal.
The pupils worked exceptionally well and enjoyed the day; the great weather certainly contributed to what was a brilliant activity!
