Something Fishy Going On...

A few months ago in their efforts to raise money for their trip to Africa, our pupils were out in the city centre of Liverpool making their cause heard. As a result, the kind owners of "Sakinsu' fish pedicure shop on Bold Street not only offered to donate an amazing £100 to our cause, they also allowed pupils to experience the fish pedicure for themselves! The pupils had a great time and loved the experience which is a good way for them to get up close with animals – something they'll be doing on their African safaris with some much bigger animals!

Calling all Chocoholics! Do you love chocolate? So do the staff at Fazakerley! As pupils left school for Spring Break, the tables were turned as teachers became students again, hoping to learn some tasty new skills! 20 staff members took part in a fabulous chocolate making session run by Andy Cameron of Chocolate7, where for two hours our tireless team learnt how to make their own dark ganache chocolates, mint crisps and even their own flakes! We got very messy but had lots of fun and, best of all, Andy kindly donated all of the proceeds from the course to the World Challengers! If you love chocolate and are interested in attending a course or even running your own sessions please get in touch and email info@chocolate7.co.uk

Love is in the Air After the massive success of our Christmas Disco the World Challenge team decided to organise another disco - this time a Valentine's Special. Both Year 7 and 8 were invited to come along to enjoy lots of delicious and beautiful cakes and biscuits prepared by the World Challengers. There was a special stall where pupils could leave lovely Valentine's messages to each other, a mini raffle, lots of dancing and, of course, no disco would be complete without a "Fazakerley Dance Off'! Thanks to everyone who came, we hope you all had fun!
