Summer School

Fazakerley Summer School was the most successful it's ever been this year, with over 70 pupils in attendance every day! Pupils got to meet the staff and pupils who'll be at Fazakerley in September so there will be lots of friendly faces. Each day in school pupils did a Science experiment, Maths competition, drama session and each group had two reading for pleasure sessions with a specialised member from the Reader Organisation. Each day pupils had a lesson where they got to take home a keepsake: a personalised key ring from IT, a maze from DT and a book with a personal message inside. Plus, every pupil got to add their own 'tag' to a graffiti wall that will be on display in school in September.

Pupils had 3 days out at Rock and River Outdoor Activity Centre where they took part is scary challenges like 'The Leap of Faith', archery and raft building as well as a BBQ each day.

On the last day in school we had lessons as usual in the morning, but in the afternoon we had Dominoes pizzas then went onto the field to enjoy an afternoon of fun: bouncy castles, gladiator rings, go-karts, giant Jenga and Connect 4, bouncy assault course and an then an ice-cream van came to supply us with a treat to help us cool down!

All of the staff and pupils loved the Summer School activities and can't wait to meet each other again in September!
