Year 13 Student Caitlin Sillitoe Impresses All Local Secondary Headteachers
Year 13 student Caitlin Sillitoe represented Fazakerley High School and Career Academies UK at the LASH (Liverpool Association of Secondary Headteachers) meeting recently.
The Career Academies UK programme has had a truly profound effect on Caitlin’s career aspirations. Initially, at the beginning of Year 12 Caitlin wanted to be an accountant. However, following a 6-week paid internship with Construction Company BAM, the company that are building the new A&E ward at Aintree Hospital, she now wants to study and train to become a quantity surveyor.
Caitlin spoke to the Headteachers of all Liverpool secondary schools about the impact the Career Academies programme has had on her A Level studies, her confidence and social skills and her future ambitions.
In addition, Career Academies UK have recently been in touch with the school and asked her to feature in their next newsletter and to also become a national ambassador for the programme.
We are so very proud of Caitlin and look forward to watching her career develop in the future.
